Bruno Gingras, LL.B. – Director of Operations
Bruno Gingras LL.B. is the Director of operations of About Translations Ltd. and the main contact for our clients. Mr. Gingras also acts as Head translator/revisor of the Company and oversees the work of our translators.
Mr. Gingras practiced civil and commercial law in the province of Quebec for 11 years (1985-1996) before joining About Translations Ltd. in 2005. In his law practice, Mr. Gingras specialized in civil and commercial law and litigation. Mr. Gingras holds a degree in Civil law (LL.B.) from Université de Montréal (1984) and also studied economics and political sciences at University of Ottawa (1979-1980).
Mr. Gingras is a fluently bilingual jurist who has been working, writing and translating in both official languages for over 30 years. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Legal Translators and Clarity International.

English to French Canadian Translators
- You are a native English or French Canadian speaker and are extremely fluent in both Canadian official languages;
- You hold a degree from a Canadian university, in a field other than translation, and at least (3) years of experience as a technical writer or translator for a Canadian company or as a licensed professional in one of the following areas: law, business & finance, engineering & technology, or in a related sector;
- You are an excellent writer and produce accurate and professionally written translations within agreed deadlines;
- You are dedicated and work with your client’s best interest in mind;
- You work full-time as a freelance legal, financial or technical translator.
Multilingual Translators
- You are extremely fluent in English and one of the following languages: German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian;
- You hold a degree from a Canadian, U.S. or other recognized university, in a field other than translation, and at least (3) years of experience as a technical writer or translator for a Canadian or U.S. company or as a licensed professional in one of the following areas: law, business & finance, engineering & technology, or in a related sector;
- You are an excellent writer and produce accurate and professionally written translations within agreed deadlines;
- You are dedicated and work with your client’s best interest in mind;
- You work full-time as a freelance translator.
